Both are great aluminum alloys, but they’re built for slightly different purposes.
6063-T5 is the preferred choice for architectural lighting like LED profiles. Why? Because it offers excellent surface finish, corrosion resistance, and it extrudes beautifully — giving clean, consistent shapes that are easy to anodize or powder coat. It’s also a bit softer, which makes it ideal when appearance and thermal performance are top priorities.
6061-T6, on the other hand, is stronger and more rigid — often used in structural or industrial applications like aircraft parts or heavy-duty frames. But its rougher surface and harder texture make it less ideal for decorative or lighting-grade extrusions.
So for LED lighting applications, 6063-T5 is better suited. It gives a better appearance, handles heat well, and helps us maintain the high-quality standards expected in architectural and residential lighting.
Great question — UL94 is a standard that measures the flammability of plastic materials, and the rating tells you how fire-resistant a material is.
For our LED aluminum profiles, we use UL94 V0-rated PC covers, which is the highest fire-retardant rating for this application. V0 means the material stops burning within 10 seconds without dripping flaming particles, making it a safer and more reliable choice, especially for enclosed or heat-sensitive installations.
V2, while still considered fire-retardant, allows for a longer burn time and permits flaming drips, which could be a concern in some environments.
So in short: V0 is better, and that’s why we use it as our standard. It gives you added peace of mind when safety and long-term performance matter.
We take great care to ensure our materials are well-protected during shipping:
- Aluminum Profiles: Packaged individually in PE bags, then grouped into boxes with cushioning material.
- PC Covers: Packaged individually in PE bags, with each box filled to capacity for added protection.
This method helps prevent damage during transit and ensures that your materials arrive in excellent condition.
Yes, we can cut the materials to custom sizes. Typically, we offer standard lengths of 0.5m, 1m, 1.5m, 2m, and 3m. Custom cutting is possible depending on the availability of stock materials, and additional fees may apply.
Our PC Cover materials are made from Japanese Teijin raw materials, known for their exceptional durability. They feature excellent anti-ultraviolet and fire-resistant properties,The fire rating is V2.with an option to customize to V0 for higher fire resistance.
The light efficiency is up to 99% for transparent PC.
We offer a 3-year warranty against yellowing under normal indoor use conditions (excluding extreme environments such as high temperature exposure).
Our profile extrusions are produced using world-class German West Mark (SMS) aluminum extrusion machines, PC and PMMA extrusion machines, aluminum cutting machines, and other related equipment.
The production process includes:
- Extrusion: Using 6063-T5 aluminum, which ensures high strength and durability.
- Surface Treatment: The profiles undergo anodized sandblasting and silver oxidation. the oxide layer with a thickness of 0.08mm.This process enhances thermal conductivity, provides a smooth surface and elegant finish.
- Quality Control: Each profile is rigorously inspected to ensure it meets our high standards for insulation performance and overall quality.
We have a stock of up to 500 meters profiles, which can be shipped in approximately 3 days. For larger orders or custom designs, production takes around 10 days.
For our extruded profiles, the minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 100 meters. For custom designs, the MOQ is 300 meters; otherwise, there will be an additional setup fee.
